This is me

With over 25 years in textile design, Charlene Spiteri is now living her lifelong dream of crafting exquisite headwear for both adults and children. Her passion for this craft began at age nine, inspired by her mother and grandmother, who knitted and crocheted garments and homeware for family and friends. Charlene was always captivated by how a simple piece of yarn could be transformed into something beautiful and wearable.

Growing up in a creative family, Charlene's path in design seemed almost inevitable. She studied Textile Design, Studio Textiles, Graphic Design, and Marketing at RMIT. Throughout her career, she has contributed her talents to various renowned brands, working in diverse fields including automotive color and trim, commercial and residential carpets, and children’s fashion.

A pivotal chapter in Charlene's career was her work with Warp & Weft, where she delved into knot making and rope architecture. She created macramé and rope knotting pieces for prestigious brands such as Levi's, Guess, Google, Dulux/Space Furniture, and The Australian Open, earning international acclaim and recognition as a 'New Emerging' designer in WGSN reports.

Now, Charlene is embarking on a new adventure, channeling her self-taught skills and deep-seated passion into creating millinery accessories. With innovative techniques, unique designs, and a vivid imagination, she is set to showcase couture fashion headwear that reflects her creative vision.
